The name PurpleLab reflects both how we think and what we deliver.

“Lab” captures our spirit of exploration—a place where ideas are tested, data is shaped, and insights come to life. It speaks to our belief that discovery drives progress in healthcare.

“Purple” comes from the idea of the “purple squirrel,” a rare candidate with the perfect mix of skills and experience. That idea inspired us because PurpleLab combines what most organizations struggle to find in one place: deep data, flexible tools, and expert guidance. Together, “PurpleLab” represents intelligence, curiosity, and the uncommon value we bring to every partnership.

PurpleLab was founded by Mark Brosso, who turned a personal healthcare journey into a mission to make medicine better. With more than 25 years of experience in data and analytics, Mark saw firsthand how fragmented information could limit progress. His insight was simple but powerful—modern medicine needed more. More clarity. More connection. More real-world evidence to drive better outcomes for everyone.
